Zac Efron doesn’t like letting people down. The “High School Musical” star – who’s currently dating actress Vanessa Hudgens – says he never forgets his friends when it comes to promises he’s made but if he has pledged to do something for himself he always forgets.

“One of the reasons I don’t make resolutions is purely because I know I won’t stick to them,” said Zac. “Instead I make about 15 resolutions as I go and try to stick to them. That is working much better for me this year. I can keep promises to other people – just not to myself.” [Source]

Robert Pattinson is taking on M.C. duties at George Clooney’s Hope For Haiti telethon, E! Online reports. The 23-year-old actor will be joined by Twi-costar Anna Kendrick, good friend Zac Efron and country singer Taylor Swift, among many others.

The two-hour benefit, which features more than 40 celebs in both Los Angeles or New York, will air on all the major television networks. [Source]

According to the Internet, Zac Efron will have a role in the upcoming “The Hangover 2.” However, according to the film’s star, Justin Bartha, you shouldn’t believe everything the Internet tells you – after all, if you did, you’d also be under the impression that Robert Pattinson might be joining Efron in the sequel to last year’s hit comedy.

“High School Musical” star Zac Efron would love to do a role in the sequel to comic hit “The Hangover.” The actor moved away from his Disney roots with 2009 drama “Me and Orson Welles,” and this year awaits the release of his fantasy film “The Death and Life of Charlie St.Cloud” but the 22-year-old wants his next role to be more light-hearted, reports accesshollywood.com.

“A role in ‘The Hangover’ sequel would be amazing. I think that they’re amazing and I love the cast that they’ve got going on,” he said.

Writer-director Todd Phillips is busy working on a follow-up to the comedy and is set to start filming later this year. And actor Ed Helms admits Efron would be a welcome addition to the cast.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards has rolled out its red carpet for 2010 Critics’ Choice Awards on Friday, January 15, and two young Hollywood stars, Nick Jonas and Zac Efron, have stolen the spotlight. Coming to the event held at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California, the two dazzled with their choice of dark tuxedos.

Although they are both wearing formal suit for the special night, they sported a different style. Nick, who will serve as the house band during the ceremony and after party along with side project band Nick Jonas and the Administration, opted a more casual look as he rolled his tux’s sleeves and wore sneakers, while Zac went with a formal look sporting clean cut, old Hollywood style.

On the gala ceremony, Zac is going to present the award for best song. While speaking to the press on the red carpet, he addressed rumor that linked him to the rebooted “Spider-Man”. “I don’t know what the chances are to be honest,” he said. “I assume they’re pretty slim. It’s a long-shot but if it came down to it, it’d be a dream come true. What young actor wouldn’t?”

Nick Jonas and Zac Efron weren’t the stars one coming out for 2010 Critics’ Choice. A source tells the mag, “When Vanessa was apart from Zac while filming her upcoming movies Beastly and Sucker Punch, she realized how much she missed him and loved being around him all the time. When she got back to LA, she told him she wanted them to move in together. It only makes sense, since they spend all of their free time together anyway. They are young, but very serious about each other.”
