Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron were back in the headlines together earlier this week when the website Twist reported that the former on and off screen couple was spotted at the Hollywood nightclub Eden.

According the website’s source, the two were “bopping around with her arms up while Zac had his hands all over her! Vanessa had a smile on from ear to ear and the two were inseparable… Zac sat in between her legs and she wrapped her arms around him.”

However, Vanessa’s rep tells Celebuzz that this is not the case!

“That Twist story can’t be true seeing as how Vanessa is out of town working on a film,” her rep explained.

Zac and Vanessa announced their break up in December 2010 after dating since 2006. Both “High School Musical” stars attributed the split to their busy work schedules.

“Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what,” Hudgens told the April issue of Shape. “When you don’t have face-to-face time, it’s just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it wasn’t the same.” [Source]

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens might not be completely over. According to a source, Zac wants to reconcile with VHudge and rekindle their 4-year romance! The pair has only been apart for about 10 months, but it sounds like they may end up getting back together.

“Zac realized that he’s miserable without her. He’s tired of meaningless hookups,” shared a source. “She’s going to make him work hard before she forgives him completely,” the source added.

It’s very easy to understand why Zac and Vanessa would lean toward one another, but they are fairly young to be settling down. Their relationship seemed very healthy, but four years is a long time to be with someone, especially at that age. Perhaps they need to explore the dating world a bit more before jumping back in to a relationship with one another.

Birthday boy Zac Efron had a big smile on his face after a red hot night at a burlesque club. The former Disney star donned his best suit to join pals at notorious London nightspot The Box yesterday to help celebrate his 24th birthday.

Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Zara Phillips, Snoop Dogg and Emma Watson are among those who have previously attended the Soho haunt, which features explicit sex shows. And Zac looked like he had a night to remember as the he left in the early hours of this morning looking a tad dishevelled.

Zac has signed on to star in an as-yet-untitled comedy opposite newly-married Seth Rogen.

Seth recently said: “He was really looking to be sullied, which is why we thought it would be a good idea. He seemed like he was a really cool guy, that he’d be fun to work with and seemed that he was capable of much more than the Disney stuff we’ve seen him in.” [Source]

Zac Efron is happy to mix business with pleasure. The hunky actor celebrated his 24th birthday in London, England, Tuesday night with Champagne cake at Chinese restaurant Hakkasan.

Efron’s table of about 15 included a movie producer who was discussing starting a project with him in the States, according to the New York Daily News newspaper.

Recent reports claimed Efron was in talks to play Marvel’s Sub-Mariner Namor in a big screen version of the comic book character.

“Zac is seen as perfect for the role,” reveals a movie insider.

“He can fit the role physically and has the acting skill necessary and he has a fanbase to help make the movie a hit. Namor is an unusual character but the underwater aspect is something producers are very excited to be putting onto the big screen.” [Source]

Zac Efron was treated to a $100,000 bottle of champagne on a night out in Chicago. The “Charlie St. Cloud” star was presented with a Nebuchandnezzar – a 15 litre bottle – of Armand de Brignac Champagne, also known as the ‘Ace of Spades,’ from the son of a Russian billionaire while at the Board Room nightclub on Tuesday, according to TMZ.com.

Zac was there with actress Heather Graham, as the pair are currently in the city shooting a new drama movie directed by Ramin Bahrani.

However, the rich Russian did not stop at purchasing alcohol for the stars – he also bought numerous bottles for his own table, including two magnums of Dom Perignon champagne, two magnums of Grey Goose vodka, three magnums of Laurent-Perrier Brut Rose and four bottles of Cristal, with the total price coming to $112,550, plus a $22,510 tip for the waitress, named Jasmine.

Zac broke up with “High School Musical” co-star Vanessa Hudgens in December, and has been ploughing on with work since – although he is said to still not be over her, and was struggling to see her with rumoured new boyfriend Austin Butler.

A friend of Zac’s said during the summer: “Zac is still not over Vanessa. His heart is broken and he can’t get over her. He may seem happy on the outside, but inside he is hurting. He regrets ever ending his relationship with Vanessa.” [Source]

When we heard the news that Zac Efron had signed on to appear in a college-themed Seth Rogen movie, our opening day attendance was pretty much solidified. Never mind the fact that the film has no title or release date.

And thanks to a recent chat with Seth himself, our curiosity is even further piqued, in that we now know our favorite blue-eyed, former teen star fully intends to “sully” his squeaky clean, boy-next-door image with what Seth teased as a shocking performance.

“He was really looking to be sullied, which is why we thought it would be a good idea,” Seth told MTV News of how Zac came to be involved in the film. “I’ve met him a few times over the years and the first thing you get from him is that he knows that a guy like me would probably hate him, and he works directly to counteract that feeling, which shows an amount of self awareness that is not prevalent among many young stars these days that I’ve met at award shows recently. And I think that’s why I thought it would be really funny, he seemed like he was a really cool guy, that he’d be fun to work with and seemed that he was capable of much more than the Disney stuff we’ve seen him in.”

So what exactly will Zac be up to in this untitled, R-rated comedy?

“He’s the president of a fraternity who really does despicable things, as the president of a fraternity would do,” Seth revealed. “We [Seth and his writing/producing partner Evan Goldberg] were just pitching him these ideas, and he was going along with it. We kept looking at each other, like ‘He’s actually going along with this stuff,’ and then he would come up with things that would be pushing it further and we thought, ‘Wow, people are really going to be shocked.’ And so it’s exciting to us.” [Source]

Zac Efron drama “The Lucky One,” an adaptation of yet another Nicholas Sparks novel, was bumped from an August 12 release next year up to April 20. That’s pretty much a lateral move in terms of release date mojo, with each slot being in a relatively slow but not totally unpopular moviegoing period. It’s been over a year since Efron starred in a film, though, so his April return will be just that much sooner for his remaining legions of fans. [Source]

The untitled Ramin Bahrani project also stars Heather Graham and Kim Dickens. Clancy Brown, immortalized as the Kurgan in in 1980s cult classic “Highlander,” has joined the cast of the untitled Ramin Bahrani project starring Dennis Quaid and Zac Efron.

Killer Films is producing the pic, formerly titled “Heartland,” which centers on a farmer and sales seemdman (Quaid), who tries to deal with his racecar-driving son who refuses to follow in his footsteps. Brown will play a rival farmer. The pic is shooting in Illinois with a cast that counts Heather Graham and Kim Dickens, among other actors. [Source]
