“The Paperboy” actor Zac Efron admits dating is “kind of hard.” Speaking out in an interview Thursday, Efron admits he’s not dating anyone now but “you always have to be careful.”
“Everyday is a new experience. Dating is kind of hard. I think dinner or something like that, a forced awkward situation, especially for me, is kind of strange,” Efron shares with “Ellen.”
According to Efron, an ideal date would include something adventurous like bungee jumping or even sky diving.
“I would do something adventurous… some sort of crazy activity,” he says. “I’ve never jumped out of a plane. That’s on my bucket list.”
In related news, Zac Efron appears in the Lee Daniels (“Precious,” “The Butler”) directed flick “The Paperboy” alongside Nicole Kidman and Matthew McConaughey. Speaking of the latter, Efron says it was really cool working with McConaughey but running with him was a chore.
“This guy runs so freakin’ fast. Matthew is a machine. I’m pretty in shape but this guy runs with Lance Armstrong,” Efron tells Ellen DeGeneres in video below. “I’m running and trying to keep up with this guy.”

During his first visit to the Philippines, Zac Efron opened up about his first kiss and his chemistry with former girlfriend, Filipino-American actress Vanessa Hudgens. The Hollywood actor charmed Filipinos at his fan conference held last night, September 29, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
TV host Boy Abunda had the chance to interview Zac, whom he described as “one of the most brilliant actors of his generation.”
Zac has been staying in the Philippines for several days already.
When Boy asked Zac about his stay here in the tropical country, Zac exclaimed: “It’s been absolutely incredible!”
As a kid, Zac grew up listening to stories about the Philippines from his father David, a former merchant marine who often visited the country in the past.
“It’s been a dream of mine to come to the Philippines since I was a young boy. Now I’m finally here with all you guys,” said Zac with a smile.
What’s the best story that he heard about the Philippines?
“My dad told me stories about the food and how amazing all the people were.”
What is his favorite food now?
“Balut!” he said, referring to fertilized duck egg, which is considered a delicacy in the Philippines.
The A-list Hollywood actor expressed his gratitude for Pinoys who showed our trademark hospitality.
“The Filipino people are so nice! You make me feel so at home. I just want to move here.”
The crowd showed its appreciation by cheering loudly for the 24-year-old actor.

Zac Efron was left squirming in his underwear when Nicole Kidman caught him off guard by asking him to dance during their shoot for “The Paperboy.”
The actor was bracing himself to deliver an emotional scene in the erotic thriller, and was stunned when his co-star suggested they dance while he was wearing nothing but a pair of tight, white briefs.
However, Efron admits sharing a dance with the actress in the rain was a career highlight.
He tells Ellen DeGeneres, “Nicole is so amazing to work with but she’s also very improvisational and once she finds the character she can sort of maneuver in and out of the lines. You never know what to expect. This was supposed to be a very serious scene. It was sort of an intense dramatic moment for me.”
“So I was very prepared to give my all in a dramatic moment and before I knew it music starts to turn up around me and she kind of looks at me and says, ‘Do you want to dance?’ And they’re still rolling so I can’t really say cut! And before I knew it we were improvising an entire dance in the rain. It’s one of my favorite scenes in the movie.”
“That is one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. It is the day I think I became a man.” [Source]
If he could vote for anything, Jonah Hill would want dogs to pick up his poop with a plastic bag — just to see how they’d like it. That wish is among the ridiculous requests celebrities make in a video released Monday to encourage voter turnout.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire lead a group of celebrities in Vote4Stuff, a non-partisan campaign which includes Zac Efron, Selena Gomez, Jonah Hill, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sarah Silverman and Ellen DeGeneres who joke about voting for, well, stuff. And by ‘stuff’ they mean anything.
Sarah Silverman wants, “gays in the military… exclusively.”
Zac Efron would, “vote to keep tigers out of schools.” And Selena Gomez vows she would “vote for anything that Zac Efron says.”
Ellen requests that “women should have the right to vote,” before pausing and looking off-camera and asking, “They do? Okay, well that’s good.”
She also wants to abolish the two main party colors. “I would not have red and blue states. I would have fuchsia and seafoam — prettier.”
After the jokes end, the cast gets serious, reminding voters there’s an easy way to have a voice on a lot of important issues and raise awareness on issues including jobs, marriage equality, climate change, foreign policy, immigration, workers’ rights, taxes, education.
In addition to emphasizing the importance of voting, the video ends with a call to action, asking people to submit a video (30 seconds or less) describing what’s important to them. The best tweets, pictures, and videos will be incorporated into the campaign this month.
MTV News is on the ground in Denver for the first of three presidential debates. As the candidates are doing last minute preparations before tonight, star power may also play an important role in November’s outcome, by tapping into the 45 million eligible young voters.
DiCaprio recently told the Associated Press that “we are using the power of social media… to incite bipartisan conversation around real issues, encourage registration and voting in November.” The campaign follows the 2008 campaign “Don’t Vote,” which led to over 800,000 young people to register — a number they hope to top this year.
