Although presenter Zac Efron attended the Oscars solo, the “High School Musical” hottie is not on the market, ladies.
“I’m meeting up with Vanessa [Hudgens] at Vanity Fair,” he explained to me of her absence during the Governors Ball.
When I asked if the twosome would be attending E!’s own Oscar afterparty at Drai’s, Zac admitted he didn’t know what their party plans were post-VF because his lady is in charge of that…
“I leave all the planning up to her,” he said. “She RSVPed to all the parties for us.”
While attending the star-studded soiree, Zac couldn’t wait to rub elbows with “Hurt Locker” star Jeremy Renner. He was quick to congratulate Jeremy, as well as producer Greg Shapiro, who was proudly clutching his statue. [Source]
As you have probably noticed, the photo gallery was hacked ealier today. However, my host fixed this issue and Efron Pictures has been fully restored. Sorry for the inconvenience. Enjoy browsing +40,000 images of Zac Efron!
Sometimes it takes a very personal event to inspire us to really make a difference. This seems to be the case for Zac Efron, who is taking a serious, yet fun, stand against cancer with his cousin and cancer survivor, Emily Hobson. Zac Gives Back supports i2Y – I’m Too Young for This Cancer Foundation. The nonprofit exists to educate and empower young adult cancer patients so they can access the most effective and age-appropriate resources out there.
Hobson, a huge supporter of i2Y, gave Efron a few wristbands and he started wearing one. A few weeks later Matthew Zachary, cancer survivor and i2Y founder, received a photo of the “High School Musical” star and his cousin “giving cancer the bird.” The catchphrase has since become the motto for Stupid Cancer, a campaign which calls for a TwitPic challenge. How to play? Gather as many Zac Efron fans as possible, make sure they’re all wearing Stupid Cancer wristbands, flip a collective bird, say cheese and submit the evidence. You’ve got until April 1, 2010 to do it, so get going. Prizes will go to the top three organizers.
If only a fraction of Zac fans and Twitter followers partake in this irreverent for a good cause event, some serious dough will be raised – and it’s surely needed. Each year, nearly 70,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer, and roughly 10,000 die annually. Over the past 30 years, this age group (15-39) has seen the greatest increase of incidence. Not OK!
But Zac Gives Back isn’t Efron’s first philanthropic endeavor. The avid surfer often supports the surf community’s fund raising efforts. Earlier this year he went Down Under to host an Oakley’s Learn to Ride surf lesson, benefiting the OneSight Foundation. And, this past summer, he contributed to PacSun Pipeline To A Cure for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
From where we stand this week, (which is of course behind a raised middle finger) Zac is looking pretty good – inside and out. [Source]

Enjoy watching Zac Efron who was interviewed at the red carpet at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards.
Zac Efron was solo on the red carpet, but told USA Today’s Claudia Puig he was going to meet up with sweetie Vanessa Hudgens later. What does he think about the movies that are up for Oscars?

Sony’s decision to overhaul the “Spider-Man” movie franchise and replace director Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire was met with some skepticism from fans, but the film studio has already made significant strides by hiring Marc Webb as the reboot’s new director. While a replacement hasn’t been hired for Maguire, there’s no shortage of actors that would like to swing into the role of Peter Parker – including “High School Musical” star Zac Efron.
When MTV News spoke with the actor on the red carpet of the Academy Awards on Sunday (March 7), Efron emphasized that he would love to star as Marvel’s beloved superhero icon. “Are you kidding? It would be a dream come true,” he said. “I think it would be an honor. I would tear it up.” [Source]
Enjoy watching Zac Efron who was interviewed for the Australian’s “A Current Affair.”
Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are Young Hollywood’s “it” couple, but that doesn’t mean that they’re perfect. In the March 2010 issue of J-14 magazine, the 22-year-old Charlie St. Cloud actor emphasizes just that. Zac shared, “I’ve failed miserably several times at relationships growing up. It’s not like I’ve got all the right moves!” [Source]
