Hollywood star, Zac Efron, will accept his Dreamy Award onscreen during an evening event in the Serpentine Gallery’s Park Nights series of live events held in the Gallery’s Pavilion, designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Weiwei. Artist Ed Fornieles, for his Park Night, hosts The Dreamy Awards to recognise the individuals and organisations helping to shape our current cultural and technological landscape. The Dreamy winners will represent the worlds of music, television, politics, business, technology and film, including Hollywood heart-throbs.
Fornieles’ performance, a special commission for the Serpentine Gallery, will exaggerate the format of a conventional awards ceremony to create a surreal and immersive participatory experience. Following a pre-event briefing with the artist, participants will be encouraged to assume a new identity for the evening and to embody and enact their new identities throughout the ceremony. Chosen characters range from princess to tech legend; from political spin-doctor to superstar DJ.
The Dreamy Awards maintains the artist’s interest in the construction of character. This focus is made manifest in Fornieles’ previous work, including Dorm Daze (2011) www.facebooksitcom.com, a Facebook sitcom he directed based on the contemporary American college moment as it exists on social media. Fornieles believes that the awards ceremony will foster an environment where people feel able and willing to perform a character that acts and communicates differently to them. The interconnectedness of this fictional network will be revealed on the night through suggested interactions and directed plot lines. Celebrity guests will mingle with the artist’s extended collaborative network and members of the public, creating a situation where social equality is forged through the shared experience of adopting a new character. This inclusive atmosphere, and people’s choice of character, will reveal both the artist’s and the audience’s contemporary fantasies. [Source]

He continues: “I was blown away by these guys.”

Nicole Kidman definitely seems to have had fun playing a cougar in “The Paperboy,” admitting that getting down and dirty with Zac Efron didn’t feel weird at all…
The movie, in which Nicole plays a woman dealing with the fact that her husband (John Cusack) is on Death Row, sees her embark on a passionate and controversial relationship with younger man Zac Efron.
Nicole has opened up about the role to V Magazine, explaining that – no matter what her character got up to – she went with it, as it “made sense.”
She even peed on Zac Efron!
The actor’s character is stung by a jellyfish, so Nicole steps up to help in the only way we know how to deal with those watery devils – by urinating on him:
“I didn’t think [it] was that weird, because I was in character… All of that made total sense to me. I just went for it and didn’t overthink it.”
The film, which also stars Matthew McConaughey, was a hit at the Cannes film festival. [Source]

Zac Efron is 24 years old, single, and has every right to live the bachelor lifestyle. So why is he looking for a new house with… his little brother?
Zac was spotted browsing properties for sale with adorable Dylan Efron in Beverly Hills on August 19, and Splash News reports that the boyish pair were looking for houses in the $6.5 million range.
Dylan is only 20 years old, so maybe Zac feels the need to look after his little bro. Or maybe he’s just not ready to live in a huge, pricey mansion all by himself. Then again, Dylan could have just been tagging along while Zac searches for his dream pad. [Source]
The New York Film Festival has added “The Paperboy,” a new film directed by Lee Daniels, to its coming roster, and with it a gala tribute to its star Nicole Kidman, the Film Society of Lincoln Center said on Tuesday.
Ms. Kidman, an Academy Award-winner for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in “The Hours,” appears in “The Paperboy” as a woman who is the fiancée of a death-row inmate (played by John Cusack), and who becomes the romantic fixation of a young man (Zac Efron) while his journalist brother (Matthew McConaughey) investigates the inmate’s case.
In a statement, Richard Peña, the programming director of the film society and chairman of the New York Film Festival’s selection committee, praised Ms. Kidman for her work in films like “To Die For,” “Dogville” and “Eyes Wide Shut,” and for a career in which she “has insisted on finding roles that are complex, bold and demanding.”
Mr. Peña, who is stepping down from his roles at the Film Society of Lincoln Center this year, will also be honored with his own gala tribute at the New York Film Festival. The tribute to Ms. Kidman will be held on Oct. 3 and the tribute to Mr. Peña will take place on Oct. 10. The festival runs from Sept. 28 through Oct. 14. [Source]
