We didn’t need another reason to fancy Zac Efron. But now we wish we were Vanessa Hudgens even more after Zac Efron revealed he loves to cook her romantic meals. The hunky 22-year-old told OK! Magazine that he’s capable of cooking up a storm in the kitchen department.
He said: “I can follow directions and I think that’s mostly what cooking is. I’m good at following written instructions, so if I look up a recipe I can kind of do it.
And Zac revealed that lasagne is his speciality.
“I’m not like a gifted chef and I’m not good with the flavours, but I can definitely make lasagne from scratch. Actually no, I don’t make the pasta [laughs].” [Source]
Zac Efron and Charlie Tahan mimick the way they crashed into each other on the waters in this new interview from Moviefone. While Zac, 22, shared that during his first sailing lesson he learned how to capsize, Charlie shared, “I fell in a couple of times.” Zac added, “We did crash into each other on the waters — in different boats.” [Source]
“Charlie St. Cloud” is hittin’ theaters – you know what that means – we’ve got the deets on the movie reviews up next. And the news is looking pretty good for the former “High School Musical” star. EOnline movies gives the flick a pretty solid review, calling it a “smart, cliche-free tearjerker.” Zac Efron gives what’s being referred to as a “grown-up performance.” But if you do head out to see this one, you better bring your tissues, because we hear you’re gonna need them. The overall tone of the movie is clearly sad, as Charlie’s little brother dies in a tragic accident at it’s start. But, the addition of a love interest, played by Amanda Crew, brightens up the plot. So things are looking good for Zac Efron’s career!
Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron insists he hates watching himself on screen as he notices “every single flaw” in his performance.
“As far as watching myself on screen, I tend to, especially the first time around, pick out every single flaw, or things I could have and should have done better. I don’t know why, but I tend to dwell on those things. I’m more of a cringer, at first. And then, when it’s years down the road and it’s out of the way, I can look back and appreciate it somehow,” contactmusic quoted him as saying.
The 22-year-old also admits that Leonardo DiCaprio is his inspiration as he tries to make the transition from teen idol to serious actor.
He said: “I think Leo is a guy that’s been through all this. I’m sure he knows how this felt, at one point or another, and he just continued. He persevered and stuck to his guns, and went through the best and the worst of times. He made cool movies, and some that didn’t work so well. Regardless, he’s doing it and he’s survived and, just now, he’s starting to make some of the coolest movies of his career.” [Source]
Zac Efron demonstrated that he is “not afraid to try new things” by eating a plate of bugs during an interview on Thursday. The “17 Again” star was appearing on “Lopez Tonight” when he ate a platter of scorpions, crickets and super worms.
He told comedian George Lopez: “It’s not that I search for weird things to eat, I’m not that guy. But if there is something strange and everybody’s afraid to eat it, I’m usually the guy that’ll go for it. I’m not afraid to try new things.”
Taking a bite of toasted scorpion, the actor said: “This is not a big deal. In fact, I’m just gonna pop this guy right off.” [Source]
Hollywood hottie Zac Efron is best known for his killer abs, his high-profile romance with Vanessa Hudgens and his sugary-sweet role in the “High School Musical” films. Since graduating from the Disney franchise, he’s been eager prove his talent as more than just a teen star – but the actor promises to take his devoted fans along for the ride.
“I would never want to do anything to alienate or betray these fans that have been so great,” Efron tells iVillage exclusively. “I want to stay a little bit ahead of the audience, experience life and make movies about those experiences. When they catch up to that age and gain perspective on life and realize that not everything is like ‘High School Musical,’ there’ll be a movie there to help them through that next stage of their lives.”
In his new drama “Charlie St. Cloud” (which hits theatres July 30), Efron, 22, plays a young man dealing with the death of his younger brother – a serious departure from the happy-go-lucky HSM films. To get into character, the actor says he thought about his own little brother, Dylan.
“I pictured what life would be like without him, and that was more than enough to get to that place,” he says. “You just have to have something real to think about, that you can relate to.”
