under Me And Orson Welles, News Updates
Ever since it went into production, “Me and Orson Welles” has been sold as proof that Zac Efron is more than just a charming singer and dancer, but an actor who we’ll be seeing for a long career. Now we can actually see what they’re talking about – the movie, picked up by Freestyle Releasing, will come out on November 25 in the U.S.
According to THR, Warner Bros. will handle the home video release, but that still doesn’t mean this is a major release. “Me and Orson Welles” will most definitely be Efron’s first indie; whether or not that means it just wasn’t good enough for a studio release, well, I guess we’ll find out in November.
In the film Christian McKay stars as the titular legendary director, whom Efron’s character meets while Welles is staging a production of Julius Caesar. The film also stars Claire Danes and Ben Chaplin, and is directed by Scanner Darkly director Richard Linklater. [Source]
